St. Mary’s Bay Academy principal Janece McNutt has been honoured as one of Canada’s Outstanding principals by The Learning Partnership.  This honour is awarded to principals who demonstrate innovative leadership, an entrepreneurial spirit and have done something remarkable in their school community.  They have the career potential and willingness to have an even more important impact on publicly funded education in the future.

Throughout the year, all the award recipients will continue to act as champions of the program.  They will participate in ongoing discussions about leadership issues through an online forum and will be involved in mentoring colleagues in their home schools.  They actively collaborate in developing and communicating about issues important to publicly funded education with research support from The Learning Partnership.

It is great to have one of our team recognized on the national stage.  Congratulations, Janece!
