Many of you will have heard the saying “it takes a village to raise a child.” Likewise, it takes everyone within Tri-County Regional Centre for Education – teachers, administrators, support staff, students and families – working together in an inclusive and collaborative way to give our students the best possible educational experience.
It can be helpful to have a simple statement as a reference point to remind us all of what we are working to achieve. To that end, we have recently completed a collaborative process of reviewing our Mission Statement and revising it to be more clear, inclusive and growth oriented. The result is a new statement that was chosen for our system by those within our system:
In TCRCE, our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student can reach their full potential and succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
I’m confident this updated Mission Statement will help to clearly guide us for the remainder of this school year and beyond.
