Back to School 2020

On July 22, 2020, Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Zach Churchill and Dr. Robert Strang, Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced Nova Scotia’s plan for the safe return to school for all students, teachers and staff on September 8, 2020.

Nova Scotia’s Back to School Plan was developed with input from public health, advice from experts at the IWK Health Centre, feedback from union partners and teachers, and feedback gathered from more than 28,000 parents, guardians and students from across the province who completed surveys during the month of June.

The provincial news release is available at https://novascotia.ca/news/release/?id=20200722003

Further updates will be shared here as TCRCE implements the plan in preparation for opening.
