Would you like to receive text message alerts for important schools updates such as cancellations and emergency alerts? If so, watch for an opt in text from us on September 1, 2021.
TCRCE and our schools now have a new messaging system and due to Canadian privacy laws, families must opt in to receive text messages.
If you have a mobile phone number on file at your child’s school, you can expect to receive a text message on September 1, 2021 from 61569 or 978338, which says:
Welcome message from TCRCE. Reply Y to confirm, HELP for info. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Schoolmessenger.com/tm
When you receive this text, you must reply “Y” to opt in to continue receiving text messages from TCRCE and schools regarding school cancellations, announcements, and other important news.
You can always opt-out in the future by replying to a text message with “STOP”. More information is at http://schoolmessenger.com/txtmsg.
You will continue to receive emails and automatic phone calls from your child’s school following your notification settings; no action is needed.
